Even if you have never used the XRP Ledger and you are finding it hard to get into the XRPL ecosystem, the jungle has you covered! Below you will find step-by-step guide on how to do it.
You need to create a non-custodial wallet. A non-custodial wallet can be hot/cold wallet but for the time being you preferably need to download Xumm Wallet (which will soon be Xaman due to rebranding)
You will then need to create your new wallet. Follow the steps below.
Click "Create a new account"
Read the Important Notes
Write down your Secret Numbers as shown on your screen, preferably on a piece of paper and do not store them anywhere online.
Confirm all the numbers by rewriting them in the correct order as shown.
Always store your secret numbers/keys offline. If you lose access to your wallet's device you can regain access to your crypto using those secret numbers, so they are very important!
Next, you will see your public address on your screen. Your public address is where you need to send your crypto in order to fund your wallet with XRP or any other XRPL token.
Afterwards you will see the interface of your wallet. It says that your account is inactive. Indeed it is because you will need to deposit 10 XRP as a reserve in order for it to be activated. This is a reserve requirement for any XRP wallet on the Ledger. You can do the deposit by sending at least 10 XRP from a centralized exchange like Binance. It is recommended to send a few more as it will be used to set up trust lines and also for the NFT Pages, which we will explain later on.
The reserve might change overtime due to higher prices of XRP or any other reasons.
